The Lisa Ewing Gallery Pt 1 (now Lisa Pegler)
The following photos were sent in by Lisa and I am pleased to be able to show them here
Lisa and a Caledonian 707.
This photo was taken, by Robin Smith - Manager LAX, in 1968 - Lisa in the older Cally uniform
On the Hadj
Red Sea to Jeddah
Ceylon - March 1971
Lisa in her Flight Director's uniform in 1980; they were more commonly known as Super Chiefs
We used to go diving at the Red Sea Inlet and this was on the way back to Jeddah. You could only take a quick photo before they all came over asking for money
A stop over in Ceylon in March 1971 on the way back during a Far East Charter service
Such bright sunlight it really bleaches everything out. Lisa is taking the photo. Pete Buckland, Sheila Baxter in the middle with a Ground Engineer (nearest)
A Douglas B-23 Dragon
DC3 HC-AOP, built 1940, last known with Cheyenne Airways
I think we were in Bogota when the flight deck became really excited with the aircraft on the left below. They thought at the time that it was a Boeing 247 which was a competitor for the DC2.......(but we now think it is a Douglas B-23 Dragon.)
The second photo is a DC3. It was amazing what was flying out of the South American Countries. Old aircraft long since thought to be non operational.
If you recognise any missing names in the photos, please drop me a line anytime
