Ron Lewis : BCal Board Member
Sadly we learn that Ron passed away on 5th May 2024, my sincere condolences to his family, friends and former colleagues.
Ron sat on the BCal Board for many years and retired through ill health in 1988 at the takeover by BA.

So sorry to hear this news. I grew up in Dublin and knew Ron and his brother and parents well. After a number of years at BCAL I discovered he was the same Ronnie I knew from years ago. Quite a coincidence. My sincere condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear about Ron. In my experience, Ron was a respected professional and an asset to the Chairman's office - and obviously the airline as a whole - in those difficult days of the 1980s. At the same time Ron was a gentleman and offered a helping hand, along with a great sense of humour, to everyone. Condolences to Ron's family.

Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. We called on Ron and Anne at their home in Wareham about 2 years ago. Ron performed a solid job as Company Secretary.

I came to know Ron well, particularly in 1984/5 when I was in the Chairman's office when we were planning the possible flotation of the group on the London Stock Exchange. He was very much the professional and true gentleman. He served the company well. RIP.
