Marie Petit (later Day) : Training / LGW Ticket Desk
Sadly we learn that Marie Day (nee Petit) passed away on 30th March 2023 aged 91. Marie was - ex Training and LGW Ticket Desk. My sincere condolences go out to her family, friends and former colleagues.

Marie interviewed me for my first job with British United Airways in May 1963 and I worked with her for 15 years. She was affectionately known as “Chiefy” by all the Duty Officers and management at Gatwick.

Sad news, Marie interviewed and accepted me when I first joined as a very shy weekender for the Summer Season. I think 1964. I kept returning every Summer Season until I began full time in 1967. Always happy memories. A lovely lady.
