From Roger Creasey
I was a supervisor and first met Frank when he joined BUA straight from the RAF. He worked with us in Hangar 3 (no longer exists) on the VC10 as an engine fitter. Took him a while to customise himself to our more relaxed non military way of working. He was one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. After a period of time he got promoted into a new role Equipment Engineer, the role was created for evaluating and of purchasing specialised tooling for the DC10 and B747 we where going to operate. He will be sadly missed.
From Mike Self
I have fond memories of Frank telling wonderful stories over a cup of tea or two. He formed a pivotal role in guiding all on things engine related along with Harry Shortland and Ken Funnell. Halcyon days. RIP Frank
