British Caledonian had some of the best advertising people in the industry, never missing an opportunity to promote the airline to the widest audience possible.

Back in 1986 they used the new British airship, Skyship 500 G-BIHN to promote the "Door to Door" limousine on flights to the USA.
In 1987 the latest Skyship 600, G-SKSC, was granted permission to carry passengers on sightseeing trips over London. The first passenger airship to overfly London in 50 years.

The flights departed Radlett Aerodrome in North London and lasted 75 minutes per trip.

Following the success of the earlier promotion, the latest skyship was liveried with the British Caledonian titles, and this time it was used to advertise the new route to Tokyo and its complimentary Door to Door limousine service for First and Super Executive passengers.

The promotion was also staged over New York, San Francisco and Sydney too.
