Ken's 3rd photo above features a replica of Bleriot's aircraft. Here is the paragraph from The History of British Caledonian
"Not much stopped traffic at Ferryfield, but a three minute halt was called on 28th July 1955 when a replica of Bleriot’s aircraft, which made the first powered flight over the Channel arrived, piloted by Monsieur Jean Salis. It was 46 years and three days since Bleriot’s flight. Naturally Salis’s machine was flown back to Calais on board one of Silver City’s Freighters."
