Forthcoming Events Calendar
The folks at the Golden Lion Children's Trust have many events planned for the summer and autumn.
Below is a list of their calendar, and if anyone can offer any support and help, I am sure it would all be appreciated.
10th June
South of England Show 1000 1500-ish (we have 3 schools this year and 7 classes!!)
Saturday 19th June 2010 The Mercury FM / Gatwick Airport Pantomime Society Ball at Brighton Pavillion
Ticket price now stands at £50 per person. Wont you join us to make up some GLCT tables? It is a fund-raising opportunity for charities supported by GAPs and does promise to be a fun evening. Some of the last panto is being repeated during the evening - bring a tissue or two, is all Ill say! Check out the GAPS website for further details.
4th July
Brighton Race Course Charity Derby 1130 1530-ish Chance for us to parade Captain Lionheart and raise funds for GLCT. If you could spare an hour or so during that time we would really appreciate it.
15th July
Connect with the Countryside Day at South of England Showground, Ardingly 0915 1430-ish
Saturday 17th July 2010 Open Day Crawley Fire Station.
We need your help for a few hours during 0830 1630 to set up gazebos, stalls, blow-up balloons, escort Captain Lionheart; man the art table for the children; do face painting; collect money; sell balloons, etc, etc. it is a great fun way of raising funds for the GLCT as well as often saying hello to children we have supported with their families, and we would very much appreciate your help.
Thursday 29th July 2010 Help needed to oversee Community projects on 6 sites in Crawley area between 1315 and 1630 hrs approx. More info as it becomes available but this promises to be a great afternoon!
11th September
Dragon Boat Festival, Bewl Water. We need paddlers, face painters and general GLCT supporters and cheerers at the event from 0815 1700 approx. You know how exciting this event is!
