British Caledonian had agreements with a number of smaller airlines to operate British Caledonian Commuter Services.

These important short haul services, as well as providing lots of internal Uk flights, also connected with BCal's international services from London Gatwick, essentially connecting many regional airports to the world-wide desinations.

These airlines included Metropolitan Airways, Brymon Airways, Connectair and Jersey European Aviation

A Viscount joined the fleet in the early 80's, operating in British Caledonian titles and BCal Communter too, though the Shorts 330 and 360 were by far the most popular aircraft of choice for these airlines as can be seen below
