The Hadj pilgramage to Mecca was an important time for many airlines, with aircraft flying near constantly for the entire time ferrying pilgrams into Jeddah from around the region. Here we have a series of photos taken in the early 1960's showing Caledonian DC-7C G-ASID being fuelled ready for its return run to collect more pilgrims.

We start with a crew photo....and if anyone recognises them, please drop me a line anytime.
