Dawn Mirren : PA then Press & PR Dept.
I am very sad to say we have heard that Dawn has passed away at her home in Canada. My sincere condolences to her family, friends and former colleagues.
Dawn was one of the original Caledonian Airways team, and was PA/Secretary to John de la Haye. Then at BCAL she worked in the Press & PR department. A lovely lady - very professional recalls Tony Cocklin.
After the BA takeover Dawn moved to Canada to be nearer her son Scott.
A photo of Dawn, with son Scott, is on the right.
Service details will be added if they become available.

Sad to read of Dawn's recent passing. She was a good, efficient worker at BCAL and a great help to me at the time. She always spoke her mind and usually it was clearly spelt out. She was a credit to the company and took the brave decision to emigrate to Canada at the time of the BA takeover, following her son Scott who was well-established there when she arrived. I feel sure that she enjoyed her years in Canada and undoubtedly will have made her mark in the local community of Burlington, Ontario. RIP Dawn. Many at Caledonian House will remember her with affection as a long-standing BCAL staffer.
From Sally Simmonds : RIP Dawn. Sorry to hear the news.

Dawn and I used to sit next to each other in the Press Office at Caledonian House. She was great fun with a very dry sense of humour !! A few months ago we had just got back in touch again on Facebook. This is very sad news. With love to Scott and the rest of the family
