The Geoff Lord Gallery

Geoff has kindly sent in some photos and paperwork from his career with BUA and BCal, and I am pleased to show it below.

Geoff started with BUA at Edinburgh in 1965, then became Station Manager, Monrovia (skippered the Liberian Rugby team !!!), with stints in Bahrain and Singapore. Though made redundant in 1973 he was re-hired back in Edinburgh then went off to West Africa again

The photo to the right is a recent photo of Roberts International Airport, some 45 years later it still looks very much the same.  A few more aerials and adverts, but time has left this airport alone.

Below we have Geoff's letters of appointment - signed off by Les Ellyatt (Traffic Manager UK & Overseas)
The BCal Rugby Team - Liberia 1973 (Geoff captained the opposition, the National Liberian Side)
Does anyone recognise these BCal staff at all please?
Geoff was appointed Station Manager at Roberts International in March 1973, and the photo of him and his team is from that date.
