Thelma recalls:-

Initially, we were trained on the VC10, but with the loss of G-ARTA during our course it was decided, by July, that the airline was short of B707 cabin crew. I believe it was Meg Martin that pushed for our course (the first course of 1972) to be retrained for the B707 instead of training a new group in the last course in 1972.

Thus at the beginning of August 1972, our course came together again for one day of safety & survival and another day of cabin services training!

Two days later, I was in New York!!
