Sandra Beeson (Darlow) PA to Directors and MD

Sandra passed away peacefully in early July, aged 75, after a long battle with cancer. My sincere condolences go out to her family, friends and former colleagues. Sandra's service was held on Thursday 20th July 2017 at Worthing Crematorium (Findon).

Sandra worked for Ray Dobson, Personnel & Industrial Relations Director, from 1971 until he passed and then went on to work for the Chairman and MD until 1989.  She loved every hectic minute and didn't want BA to make her redundant!!

Sandra Remembered

From Tracey Martell
Very sad. I spoke to Sandra only a few months ago. She had just told me that she had undergone surgery to remove a brain tumour. Things were sounding more hopeful and I was sure she would recover. I was therefore shocked to learn that she had passed away. I worked with Sandra in Customer Relations at Caledonian House between 1985 and 1988 and had been in touch with her on and off since then. RIP Sandra xx

I was very sorry to hear about Sandra. She worked for me in Customer Relations from 1985 until 1988. Sadly I lost contact with her but was shocked to hear about her death.

Really sad to hear this news. I remember working with Sandra after Mr.Dobson died, I worked with her at Caledonian House and remember many chats in the Boardroom kitchen when making coffee for visitors. She used to talk about her voluntary work on the old Windmill in Worthing. I was a legal secretary in Group Secretariat and her desk was just inside the main doors onto the 7th floor. She always had a lovely smile and friendly greeting when you walked in. Heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones and family. RIP Sandra

From Diane Orme
I was sad to see Sandra's obituary notice in the Worthing Herald shortly after returning home after lunching out with Margaret Trett. I knew Sandra back in the early 70's when she worked for Ray Dobson (Personnel Director) and I (as Di Isdale) worked for John de la Haye (Deputy MD) and then Maurice Guinane (MD). We lost touch when I left BCAL in 1976 and then bumped into each other in Tesco's in Worthing in 1987 when we discovered she lived just up the road from me! We eventually lost touch again for a few years and then caught up with each other again around 1997. We had some good laughs over the years. I hadn't seen Sandra for some time and had no idea she was ill. She was always cheerful and full of life and enthusiasm and has been taken far too soon. My condolences go to her friends and family.

From Marjorie Anglesea Jackson :  So sorry, condolences to family and friends
