The Mike Sterling Gallery
The following programme was kindly sent in by Mike and I am pleased to show it here.
Mike was one of the founder members of The Pipes and Drums of British Caledonian.
Caledonian had been awarded a large contract by Qantas to fly migrant works to Australia and soon after a regional office was opened in Kuala Lumpur. Their market share would grow and by October 1971 BCal were flying to Singapore three times per week, twice to Bangkok and once to Kuala Lumpur.
A promotional tour of the area was on, A Scottish Food Festival, and the first trip abroad for the The Pipes and Drums was to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Below is the souvenir programme from that trip.
